Contract Cars

Several political subdivisions within Clermont County have secured enhanced law enforcement coverage for their citizens through contracts with the Sheriff’s Office. Currently there are a total of six such jurisdictions that have contractual coverage: Batavia Township, Monroe Township, Village of Moscow, Tate Township, Washington Township, and Williamsburg Township. The contract cars provide an additional forty (40) hours per week, per deputy of law enforcement services for the contracting jurisdictions. Contract Deputies are available to the contracting entity for enhanced patrol, traffic enforcement, and community events. A significant amount of the costs associated with contractual law enforcement services have been covered through U.S. Department of Justice COPS grants.
