Re: Arrest in Batavia School Break-in
Batavia, Ohio - On Wednesday, October 10, 2007, The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Batavia Police Department made an arrest in connection with in a break-in which occurred on May 23, 2007, at the Batavia Elementary School, 215 Broadway Street, Batavia, Ohio. Chief Deputy Rick Combs said Police Chief Mike Gardner of the Batavia Police Department and members of the Clermont County Sheriff’s Investigative Unit interviewed suspects and collected information for several weeks following the incident. Their combined efforts and diligence resulted in the arrest of Kyle Moore M/W/18 of 199 Doe Run Court, Batavia, OH 45103 on one count of Breaking and Entering, a fifth degree felony.
Moore is also charged with two additional counts of Breaking and Entering related to incidents occurring at Benjy’s Drive-Thru on Old State Route 32, Batavia Township on April 11, 2007, and at the Pt. Pleasant Food Market on U.S. 52 in Monroe Township on April 12, 2007. The investigation is continuing in these matters and no property related to the offenses has yet been recovered.
