Subject: Tractor Accident
Date: October 20, 2005
Early this a.m. (Thurs 10/20) at approx 8:30 Clermont County Sheriff’s Deputies, Williamsburg Police, and Williamsburg Fire/EMS units were dispatched reference a tractor accident in Williamsburg near the water treatment plant along the Little Miami River. Apparently a nearby resident heard calls for help from the area, which prompted a call to 911.
At the scene it was discovered that a small Ford tractor had turned over killing an adult male (name not released at this time pending notifications), and seriously injuring an adult female (notifications pending). She was transported to Clermont Mercy Hospital by EMS.
Preliminary information indicates that the two were riding the tractor in the 4100 block of Dela Palma Road along the Little Miami River bank during the evening hours and sometime during this time frame the tractor overturned. This preliminary information has not been conclusively verified and the investigation is continuing. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.
