Vandalism Arrests

Batavia Township-

On June 24, 2010, Chief Deputy Rick Combs reported that vehicles, residences, and sidewalks had been spray painted the night of June 23, 2010 in the Bristol Lake/Sycamore Creek Subdivisions, Batavia Township, Clermont County.

“Offense reports and witness statements were compiled, as well as, physical evidence collected and transported to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office where it was processed for fingerprints and DNA evidence” Combs said.  Two male juveniles, aged 15 and 16 years old, residing in Batavia Township were identified as suspects.

According to Sheriff Rodenberg, “Although both suspects initially denied any involvement in the criminal offenses, further investigation provided a basis to charge them with several counts of criminal damaging and one count of burglary. The burglary offense stems from the juveniles entering a residential attached garage and removing numerous cans of spray paint to commit the offenses.

The juveniles have been charged through juvenile court and are awaiting adjudication on the charges.”
