The Sheriff’s Office currently has two canine units. All the canines and handlers attend training programs meeting State of Ohio canine certification criteria.

Deputy Popham’s partner is Lego, a German Shepherd trained in patrol duties.

Deputy Bates’s partner is Sammy, a Bloodhound trained in tracking.

Officer McDonald’s partner is Deborah, a German Shorthaired Pointer trained in narcotics detection, assigned to the Corrections Division.
