Captain Casey Iles, Jail Programs

 

 

Captain Casey Iles began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in January 2002 as a Corrections Officer. He is a graduate of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission Corrections Academy and has completed coursework in Criminal Justice.

Throughout his career, Captain Iles has demonstrated consistent leadership and a commitment to professional excellence. He was promoted to Corporal in 2013 and to Sergeant in March 2016, serving as a Shift Commander. In this leadership role, he directed daily shift operations, supervised personnel, and managed critical programs including radiation safety and volunteer services. Captain Iles was instrumental in implementing the Guardian System, utilizing technology to improve operational efficiency, accountability, and staff safety.

As a Captain, he is responsible for Jail Security, Commissary Operations, Maintenance, Medical Services, Training, and the Jail Narcotics Detection Canine Program. Captain Iles is a certified Ohio Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer and a certified Jail Safety Officer. Recognized for his leadership, operational expertise, and dedication to staff development, he was promoted to the rank of Captain in January 2026.
