Captain Greg Moran began his career in Law Enforcement in 1993 as a Deputy Sheriff with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office; In 2003 Greg joined the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office as a Road Patrol Deputy. In 2007, Greg was assigned to the Investigative Unit as a Detective. In 2014 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant of the Investigative Unit.
In 2017 Greg was promoted to Captain and continued to manage Investigations as well as the Clermont County Narcotics Unit. 2023, Greg is now Captain of the Sheriff’s Office Court Service Unit and School Resource Deputies. Additionally, Greg supervises and oversees the Task Force One Dive Team.
Captain Moran graduated from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy in London Ohio. Greg has continued his professional education by attending a number of advanced investigative courses which included Homicide Investigation at the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute. Greg is a Certified Voice Stress Analysis operator and is also a certified firearms instructor. Captain Moran graduated from the Public Safety Leadership Academy, John Glenn College of Public Affairs, at The Ohio State University in June of 2017.
