Captain Feilhauer began his career in law enforcement as a corrections Officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in 2002. He received his Ohio Peace Officer Certification from Butler Tech Police Academy in 2011 and accepted a road patrol position with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office. Since coming to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Captain Feilhauer has served as a Batavia Township contract car and as a Detective assigned to the Investigations Unit. Captain Feilhauer was promoted to Corporal in 2017 and returned to road patrol where in 2021 he was promoted to Sergeant. In 2025 he was promoted to Captain, overseeing Support Services to include collective bargaining negotiations, forecasting and budgeting, personnel matters, off-duty details, grants, human resources, payroll, agency body-worn camera program, agency training committee, issuance of CCW licenses and the agency social media pages.
Captain Feilhauer served in several specialized units throughout his career at the Sheriff’s Office. From 2015-2019 he was a member of Task Force One; a multi-agency underwater rescue and recovery dive team. Captain Feilhauer also served as a Field Training Officer from 2015-2025 supervising the Field Training Program. From 2013 to 2025 Captain Feilhauer served to oversee the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard along with being a member himself.
