On June 28th, 2025, at approximately 10:50 PM, Clermont County Sheriff's deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a disorder involving a female who was assaulted and observed entering an orange Jeep, covered in blood. The last caller reported witnessing the disorder and noted the presence of a small child in the vehicle during the incident. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Dollar General in to 2900 block of State Route 132 in Monroe Township. The vehicle left the scene before deputies arrived.
Clermont County deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at an address on Fair Oak Road, also in Monroe Township. The driver, identified as 51-year-old Aaron Henry, was determined to be under the influence and placed under arrest. The female passenger, identified as Henry's spouse, exhibited significant visible facial injuries. Monroe Township EMS was requested to respond to provide patient care, and the victim was transported to Clermont Mercy Hospital for further treatment. The couple's 2-year-old daughter was found secured in a car seat in the rear of the vehicle, unharmed but present during the incident.
Further investigation revealed that Henry struck his spouse multiple times in the face while driving, with their 2-year-old daughter present in the vehicle. The victim had exited the vehicle at some point and attempted to retrieve their daughter from the vehicle, but Henry accelerated, dragging the victim for a short distance. Henry then pulled the victim back into the vehicle by her hair before leaving the scene.
Deputies obtained medical records from Clermont Mercy Hospital, which confirmed the victim sustained facial injuries that included broken bones. Deputies transported Henry from the traffic stop to the Clermont County Jail, where he was initially charged with:
(1) count of Kidnapping, a felony of the 1st degree
(1) count of Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2nd degree
(1) count of Aggravated Vehicular Assault, a felony of the 3rd degree
(1) count of Domestic Violence, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree
(1) count of Endangering Children, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree
(1) count of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree
On June 30th, 2025, Henry was seen in Clermont County Municipal Court for his arraignment and given a $200,000 cash or professional bond.
Henry remains incarcerated at the Clermont County Jail without bond on the new charges described in the above indictment. Henry is scheduled to appear in front of Judge Kevin Miles of the Clermont County Common Pleas Court on July 9th, 2025, at 10 am.
