On September 19^th, 2026, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office filed the following charges against Keith Evans (age 34) of Wayne Township through the Clermont County Municipal Court:

(1) count of Kidnapping, a felony of the 1^st degree
(1) count of Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2^nd degree
(1) count of Strangulation, a felony of the 2nd degree
(1) count of Domestic Violence, a misdemeanor 1^st degree

On September 19^th, 2026, at 9:02 a.m., the Clermont County Communications Center received a 911 call from a female victim reporting that a known male had entered her home in the 600 block of Main Street in the Village of Felicity, Franklin Township and assaulted her.

Deputies from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the scene and made contact with the victim. She identified her assailant as Keith Evans. The victim reported that Evans entered the residence around midnight and began assaulting her.

During the alleged incident, Evans reportedly choked the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. The victim further reported that Evans took her cellular phone, preventing her from calling for assistance. She stated that Evans left the residence at around 8:30 A.M., giving her the opportunity to leave the home and contact family members for help.

Franklin Township EMS responded and transported the victim to Clermont Mercy Hospital for medical treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office – Investigative Unit responded to the scene and collected evidence and statements from involved parties and witnesses.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., deputies located Evans in Wayne Township and took him into custody without incident. Evans was transported to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, where detectives conducted an interview with him. Evans willingly provided a statement but denied any wrongdoing related to the incident.

Based on the evidence and statements obtained during the investigation, the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office was consulted and Detectives filed the above-mentioned charges against Evans through the Clermont County Municipal Court.

Keith Evans remains incarcerated in the Clermont County Jail and is currently being held without bond. Evans is scheduled to appear in the Clermont County Municipal Court on September 21^st, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. for his arraignment on the charges.

The case will be reviewed in its entirety with the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of any additional criminal charges and potential presentation to the Grand Jury.
