On March 27th, 2025, Zachary Fox was indicted on an additional criminal charge of Tampering with Evidence, a Felony of the 3rd degree.
The additional charge stems from the ongoing investigation that started on February 7th. Detectives from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office executed a Search Warrant for Fox’s social media accounts, revealing that Fox had deleted the account when he likely knew an official investigation or proceeding was underway, or about to begin.
Fox is due back in court on the new indictment on March 28th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in front of Clermont County Common Pleas Judge Victor Haddad. Fox has remained incarcerated inside the Clermont County Jail on a $70,000 bond and is now being held without bond.
Zachary Taylor Fox, age 29, of Union Township, Clermont County, was indicted on February 18th, 2025, concerning explicit content posted to his social media account for the following charges:
(5) counts of Menacing by Stalking, all felonies of the 4th degree
(3) counts of Pandering Obscenity, all felonies of the 5th degree
(1) count of Menacing by Stalking, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree
On Friday, February 7th, 2025, at 6:50 p.m., Deputies from Clermont County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence for a report of concerning content posted to a social media site belonging to a known individual.
Upon arrival, the victim told deputies they attend church with a male by the name of Zachary Fox and were told from concerned church members about some content that was being posted to Fox’s social media profile. It was reported that Fox posted several messages and videos of himself in various states of obscene acts while nude, most of which specifically mentioned the victim and her juvenile daughter. Included in the posts were disturbing messages about what his intentions were with the victims. Deputies were able to examine the content due to the profile being public. The victims identified Fox in the videos and pictures as being the responsible party, explaining Fox had “tagged” the church in some of these explicit posts.
Due to the presence of sexually charged content, including elements that were threatening in nature, deputies immediately responded to the 3900 block of Pharo Drive in Union Township, Clermont County where Fox was reported to live. Deputies made contact with Fox, who attempted to hide a cellular device associated with the investigation and initially told deputies he was not responsible for the content. Upon further discussions with Fox, he confirmed he attended the church and knew the victims. Deputies confronted Fox with the evidence they had uncovered at the time, which prompted him to confess, citing he was the sole individual involved and confirmed he had hidden his cellphone prior to the deputies arrival at his house. The phone was recovered, and deputies immediately arrested Fox and transported him to Clermont County Jail on the following charges:
(2) counts of Telecommunications Harassment, both misdemeanors of the 1st degree
(2) counts of Menacing by Stalking, both misdemeanors of the 1st degree
(1) count of Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles, a felony of the 5th degree
(1) count of Pandering Obscenity, a felony of the 5th degree
(1) count of Tampering with Evidence, a felony of the 3rd degree
Fox has remained in the Clermont County Jail since that time on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
Detectives continue to investigate Fox’s social media accounts, and the cellphone seized through search warrants in an effort to identify any unknown content that could lead to additional victim(s).
Fox will appear before Clermont County Common Pleas Judge Victor Haddad on February 19th, 2025, at 10:00 am for arraignment on the above-mentioned charges.
Any additional inquiries related to this indictment should be directed to the Clermont County Prosecutors Office at 513-732-7313.
