Juvenile Treated for possible Drowning at YMCA

On February 26th, 2026, at 4:31 p.m., the Clermont County Communications Center received a 911 call from a female staff member at the YMCA, located in the 2000 block of James E. Sauls Sr. Drive in Williamsburg Township, Clermont County, reporting a possible drowning involving a 17-year-old male in the pool.


Deputies with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched and arrived on scene at approximately 4:35 p.m. Williamsburg Township Fire & EMS was also dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter at approximately 4:36 p.m.


On duty lifeguards were on scene and immediately pulled the victim from the water and began CPR. Upon arrival, Williamsburg Township EMS relieved staff and continued patient care.


Due to the seriousness of the incident, although a pulse was restored, AirCare was requested at approximately 4:40 p.m. by Williamsburg Township Fire & EMS. The patient was transported by air to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for further treatment at 5:29 p.m.


The victim is currently listed in stable condition.


Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit responded to the scene and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.


At this time, foul play is not suspected.
